This is a beautiful 40's bed jacket made of lustrous peach crepe-back satin. The flare sleeves are gorgeously trimmed with sheer fabric (cotton?) covered with embroidered appliques of flowers and leaves. Matching grey appliques also delicately surround the low neckline that features a bow. Fabric is very fluid and hangs beautifully Jacket closes in front with a metal hook & eye under the bow. Inside seams are pinked and well frayed. Vintage 1940's. There is no tag ~ please note measurements below.
Condition
Condition is EXCELLENT ~ appears very gently worn ~ one tiny thin spot in the back ~ part of the seam of the bow needs restitching ~ three small sections ~ however, not a tragedy if repair is not made because it looks just fine ~ otherwise, no other flaws of any kind.
