1940's Floral Rayon Shawl Collar Day Dress ~ 36

Here is a wonderful 1940's day dress for the demure girl in you. The beautiful woven rayon fabric has a design of flowers and ovals ~ random ovals are punched leaving a slightly see-through eyelet effect. Bodice has a darted bust, lovely shawl collar, cap sleeves and six large pearly buttons ~ three buttons are functional. Collar is lined with taffeta fabric, fitted waist has separate matching belt and two hip pockets are adorned with three decorative buttons. Colors are dark chocolate, teal and mauve on a sand background. Partially closes on one side with metal zipper in perfect working condition. Inside seams are pinked. Vintage 1940's. Pristine paper tag reads Lot 11 ~ Size 16½ ~ please refer to measurements below. Hang tag reads Allegro ~ 100% Rayon.

Condition

Condition is SUPERB ~ like new with orginal hang tags attached ~ there is no dry rot or any flaws other than two tiny dark marks under the collar from being pinned ~ very clean and will only require a gentle soak to freshen.
